Magnesium Screensaver It's a screensaver of the "Magnesium" logo. You have two choices:
Black box is just what it says: The Magnesium logo bounces of walls with completely black box. No fancy shadows, textures or lightening at all (only a simple light-effect is used on the logo). Landscape let's the Magnesium logo fly around in a "beautiful" landscape. This mode also allows the user to walk around like in any other first-person game: Just hit the Enter key (you'll have to be quick) and use the mouse for looking and the w-, a-, s- and d- keys for walking. Download the Magnesium Screensaver This program is released as "free of charge" (which is not the same as "free"). You may download and use the program without limitations. You may not, however, sell or alter this program in any way, shape or form without permission. Click here to start the download (7.4 MB). You don't need to register, but it's nice if you do. ;)
System requirements:
- .NET Framework 1.1
- Video card supporting DirectX 8 (most do these days)
- CPU higher than 1.0 GHz
Installation - Download the setup-file (found above) and start the program
- Choose a suitable location to install to
- Most users will need to choose "Full installation". Only choose "Full installation without Truevision3D DLL's" if you have the Truevision 3D SDK installed.
- Select a suitable program group.
- After the installtion is complete, rigth click at your desktop and choose "Properties".
- Go to the "Screensaver"-tab and select "Magnesium Screensaver". Clicking on the "Settings" button let's you choose between the Black Box or Landscape version.
